More than two million students across the world take SAT exam every year. SAT Test IntroductionThe SAT test is taken bystudents who are interested in furthering their academic careers and preparingfor college. Sat SAT and ACT exams are different exams but the intention of the test is same. SAT and ACT scores must be received by the application deadline (February 1 for summer/fall applicants; October 1 for spring applicants) for your application to be complete. The SAT is typically taken by high school juniors and seniors. The SAT assesses how well you analyze and solve problemsskills you learned in school that you'll need in college. You can easily prepare yourself for the SAT with just a little planning. Exam Preparation and study are imperative before walking into the examination room. Writing The writing portion of the SAT requires a written essay, and a few of the questions on the math portion are grid in types, but the rest of the test consists of multiple choice questions, offering five different possible answers for each question. In the writing section youll have 35 minutes to answer questions about grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure, and then youll have 25 minutes to demonstrate your writing skills by writing an essay on an assigned topic. It doesnt matter what you write so long as you start writing. Usually, you should write about things you have an interest in so that you dont become bored and quit writing. But writing is very important to SAT success. Requirement You should however check with the university which you are applying to for their requirements. You cannot fulfill your testing requirement by submitting: A score from a test taken before the writing exams were offered (before March 2005 for the SAT or before February 2005 for the ACT) An ACT score without the ACT Optional Writing Test. If you haven't fulfilled your testing requirement, you'll need to retake the test in time for your scores to arrive to meet the deadline. Reading The SAT includes a Critical Reading, Math, and Writing section, with a specific number of questions related to content. The more you read and the longer you read the better you will get at reading. From Analogies to Sentence Completion to Critical Reading, mastering the Verbal section can be adaunting task. SAT exam is conducted seven times a year. |
